The National White Collar Crime Center provides training to law enforcement and the private sector
in the areas of cybercrime, financial crime and intelligence. In order to host a training, your facility must
meet a number of requirements. Please see the requirements criteria below to ensure your facility is compliant
before submitting a request to host a training.
Hosting Requirements
1. A secure facility, such as a law enforcement or criminal justice building.
2. Classroom with a minimum of 1,500 square feet and must be able to accommodate 34-40 students, plus 2-3 instructors comfortably.
3. All courses require an internet connection.
4. Access to the classroom is required the day before the start date of the class (if class begins on a Monday,
NW3C will need access to the room on Sunday).
5. The classroom must be secure during non-instruction time (during lunch and from the end of the first day
of class to the end of the last day of class).
6. Parking for 34-40 or more students and up to 3 instructors
7. Temperature controlled with an adjustable thermostat.
8. Sufficient electrical power to support up to 36 computers provided by NW3C.
9. An erasable dry-erase board and/or flip chart (not behind the projector screen).
10. As a benefit of hosting, your agency will receive (5) reserved seats per class.
11. A scheduled course can be cancelled if the course registrations are not at or above 75% capacity 45 days
prior to the start date of the course. Should the class need to be cancelled due to low registration, your
agency will go on a Hosting Agency Wait List for 18 months before being considered eligible to host another course.
12. Ability to receive NW3C computer lab equipment and student materials from FedEx the week before class start date
of training and secure those items until agreed upon set up date and time (the shipment could contain up to 6 trunks
weighing up to 100 pounds each and 1-3 cardboard boxes weighing approximately 35 pounds each).
13. Must submit multiple pictures from multiple angles of the classroom you are considering using.
Network Requirements
NW3C provides each student with a computer with wireless ability to be used for internet connectivity. The
connection to the internet will need to accommodate up to 36 computers accessing the internet simultaneously.
The following network requirements are mandatory:
• NW3C will need to connect a wireless router to a network for external connection to the internet.
• An internet connection speed of 15 Mbps or above.
• Submitting and performing a network speed test from the classroom will be required before the approval
of your training request.
