Intellectual Property Theft Training Seminar

Intellectual Property Theft Seminar: Fake Products, Real Crime

The sale of counterfeit products involves serious health and safety issues in addition to the economic impact and the connection to organized criminal activity. NW3C will be hosting a series of Intellectual Property Theft Seminars to help state and local law enforcement better understand the serious effects of this crime problem. Experienced law enforcement and industry investigators will discuss “why these crimes matter.” Representatives of the National Crime Prevention Council, the National IPR Coordination Center, the National Association of Attorneys General, and state and local officers who have successfully worked IP theft cases will be there to share their knowledge and ideas.

Seminar Topics Include:

  • Health and safety risks: counterfeit pharmaceuticals and auto parts
  • Lost jobs: economic impact of counterfeiting
  • The counterfeiting link to gangs, terrorism, and organized crime
  • Investigative techniques, prevention and more

Registration is required and there is no cost for this training.  For questions and more information contact Jim Foley at  877-628-7674 ext 2259 or at jfoley@nw3c.org
